Mercedes-Benz SLC Gullwing's Interior Scooped

A set of grainy images have surfaced on the web giving us our first glimpse of the forthcoming Mercedes-Benz SLC Gullwing's dashboard. The low quality pictures that appear to be scanned, show that the prototype is equipped with a flat bottom AMG steering wheel as well as with retro-style air vents that bring to mind the ones found in the Mercedes-Benz models of the 1970s. Other than that, we can see the that the SLC also features the usual Mercedes-Benz air-condition controls and a rotary knob for the COMMAND system.

The new SLC supercar is scheduled to be revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2009 with sales planned to start during the first half of 2010. Even though all of the prototypes that have been caught on camera are heavily camouflaged, Merc insiders have said that the SLC's exterior design will revoke memories of the iconic 300 SL.

Unlike the SLR McLaren, the SLC will be developed in-house by the German automaker's AMG division. Power is expected to come from an AMG, front-mid mounted 6.2-liter V8 engine producing around 580 HP.
