SEMA: VW Passat CC Super Performance Concept with 311HP 2.0 TSI

VW CC Performance Concept SEMA 2008 Volkswagen's new Passat-based CC model took center-stage at the company's SEMA show booth. The so-called CC Super Performance Concept was designed by the VW Design Center in California with assistance from APR, LLC, Recaro, H&R Suspension and Brembo. Featured in a grey pearl paint, the four-door coupe concept's exterior is enhanced with black chrome trim accents, a custom front and rear bumper, side panels and a rather good looking machined aluminum spoiler on the boot lid. However what really caught our attention were the custom designed 10-spoke, 20-inch alloys wrapped around in high performance 245/30 R20 tires.

The concept's dark treatment continues inside with high-gloss piano black accents offset by matte black graphics as well as custom-made black leather Recaro seats and matching floor mats, both of which are highlighted with white piping.

VW CC Performance Concept SEMA 2008 The German manufacturer's team combined the CC's exterior and interior appointments with several mechanical improvements. Under the hood the 2.0L TSI engine has been upgraded with an APR stage 3 turbocharger system with three performance levels. In Full Power mode the Performance CC produces 311HP and 313 lbs. ft. torque; GT mode offers 252HP and 268 lbs. ft. of torque; and in the Eco mode 222HP and 236 lbs. ft. of torque.

Volkswagen claims that in the Eco performance mode, the CC concept gets 33mpg on the highway and 27mpg in the city versus the production 2.0T CC automatic 's 28mpg highway/19mpg city

Along with the engine upgrades VW added an APR stainless steel performance exhaust system, an H&R street coil over sport suspension and 14-inch Brembo brakes with 4-piston aluminum alloy brake calipers and 355x32mm 2-piece floating cross drilled discs with billet aluminum hats.
