Here's the first teaser sketch of the all-new, third generation Infiniti M luxury sedan that is scheduled to arrive at the firm's showrooms on both sides of the Atlantic in early 2010. We'll get our first look of the 2011 Infiniti M at the 59th annual Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance on August 14. However, the reveal will be entirely computer-generated, as no physical car will be used. To explain, Infiniti said that it will use a special technology to project a rendering of the 2011 M into a rough 3D foam model using topographical site-specific video projection imaging to mimic the vehicle's physical presence.
It remains to be seen if the new M will be revealed in the flesh at the forthcoming Frankfurt Motor Show or if Infiniti will choose another major international auto show.
The third generation M sedan is expected to be offered with the Nissan Group's latest 3.7-liter V6 gasoline engine as well as a V8 variant while Infiniti is also said to be readying a hybrid drivetrain for the luxury sedan.
